I must admit that I have a quite special connection to this painting, as it moves my mind back to both good and not equally as good memories. 

Isbladskärret is a place in Djurgården in which I have done a lot of thinking throughout the years. During my many walks around the area, this place has been a natural stop for me. During summertime, I often tend to pause there for a while. Once in a while, I lay down in the grass and enjoy the calmness (despite the many birds that also love Isbladskärret!). It is the perfect place for thinking. I would describe it as a harmonious oasis, away from the city. That is also what I have strived to mediate in this painting and as such, I have used calm tones of the color palette. Two ducks are symbolizing both the wildlife and the importance of letting go of the things that trouble you.
